The weekly North Shore Gazette continued the Devonport Gazette and Greater North Shore Advocate, the change of title relectinga wider focus on neighbouring areas to include Belmont, Bayswater, Takapuna, Milford, Glenfield, Northcote, Birkenhead, Birkdale and Chelsea. The subtitle “& Victoria Theatre Courier” was added at some stage in the 1930s and disappeared again around 1935. The last issues noted are from 1948.Because very few issues of the paper for the 1930s and 1940s are available, it is not possible to be more precise about it for this period.
Please note that page 1 of the issue 15 October 1936 is wrongly dated 1916. We are assuming the date on the first page is a misprint.
Title for the two 1934 issues is North Shore Gazette and Victoria Theatre Courier
